1.The Department of Industries and Commerce (Electrical and Electronic wing) has set up functional industrial estate exclusively for Electrical and Electronics industries. These estates are set up in Thiruvanmiyur and Perungudi in Chennai and Kakkalur in Trivellore District, Hosur in Dharmapuri District, Thuvakkudy in Tiruchirapalli District, Kalappatti in Coimbatore District, Kappalur in Madurai District and Sooramangalam in Salem District.
2.These estates were established to provide developed plots/sheds to the entrepreneurs on hire purchase/rental basis for the speedy growth of electronic industries in the State.
3.Government have ordered certain norms for fixation of final cost in G.O.Ms.No.27 Small Industries (SIE.2) Department dated 17.4.95 and also delegated the powers to the Industries Commissioner and Director of Industries and Commerce for fixing the final cost for the plots/sheds allotted and ratify the action of the unit holders for violating the terms and conditions vide G.O.Ms.No.9 Small Industries Department dated 17.2.97 and G.O.Ms.No.72(A) Small Industries Department dated 20.10.97 respectively. Sale deed was issued to 67 entrepreneurs.
